Kennels About Us
Hello and Welcome once again to our website....sorry if not everything is working quite right yet, we are still new at the website game.
Well to be quite honest we started in the Doberman breeding and showing world quite by accident. I wanted a Great Dane and my husband wanted a Doberman, my daughter wanted a German Shepard but I wasn't about to put up with all that hair and her sneezing with allergies. Finally I gave in and my daughter and I went out and bought a Doberman puppy.
(We did do our research ahead of time-no panic there.)
Six months after we had picked up BJ we met the breeder again and through some convincing we decided to take our chance and go into the show ring. The first time the judge pointed to me as the winner I was hooked. Now we have four Dobermans " BJ , Sydney, Tora and Coal" .
All our Dobs have their Canadian Championships and are now practicing for a possible showing in the Obedience ring. We are also planning breeding in the near future, so give us a call if you have any questions.
Well now something really about us. I do have to say that we are quite well traveled and familiar with both German and American style dogs. All of us ( not the Dobbs) are originally from Poland. We have also lived in Germany and now residing in Northern Ontario, Canada. Since we have lived in different countries we were given the wonderful opportunity to learn about breeding all over the world. Although we did not start breeding until we came to Canada we were always involved in animal care and dogs in general.
Having been exposed to different cultures and different techniques in dog training and breeding we hope to combine all our knowledge to ensure the health, temperament and quality of our Dobermans.
Of course every breeder hopes to someday breed the perfect dog. For us health and temperament are a priority, however confirmation is of course not to be forgotten. It is important for us that people are able to look at our dogs and forget about the stereotype of the "vicious" Doberman Pinscher. We also take as many health precautions as possible. Our dogs are tested in Guelph and have undergone tests for thyroid and DNA tests for VWD. We love our dogs and want them all to live healthy, happy and long lives.
I hope this may give you some insight into who we are and what we are striving for in the breeding of our dogs. We don’t breed for the money we breed for the love of the breed and for the betterment of the breed, breeding a classic dog that will not be forgotten or swallowed up by time.
If you still have some questions and are interested in a future litter of puppies please feel free to call and ask questions.
Now go and have a look around.
